2. Data we process

This application is used for timing a relay event. No user account and no e-mail address are required. We only process the data entered by the participants themselves:

• team name and the names of the team members
• an automatically generated four-digit login code
• counted laps with timestamps (for timing and the ranking)

Entering real names is optional – nicknames may be used as well.

3. Server log files

When the site is accessed, the web server automatically stores access data (incl. IP address, time, requested resource, browser type) temporarily in log files. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Cookies & local session

Only strictly necessary cookies are used: a session cookie that stores the team login and the chosen language. There is no tracking and no analysis by third parties.

5. Live updates (WebSockets)

For the live results a WebSocket connection to our own server is established. Only the run data mentioned above is transmitted.

6. Hosting

The application is operated on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

7. Retention period

Event data is stored for the duration of the event and its evaluation and deleted afterwards. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of the processing of your data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, please contact the address above.
